Spain EU ensures that all shares her views on the elections in Honduras - then we're screwed!

At the meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels, Moratinos presented the Spanish position on the election:  not recognizing the election results but also not ignoring that they took place.
The Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, told his counterparts from the European Union (EU), the Spanish position regarding the "non-recognition, but without ignoring the new political reality in Honduras" and said that all European countries share .
After meeting with the ministers of the other twenty-six countries in Europe, Moratinos assured that the EU will continue to work under "the principles, values and defending the constitutional order." "But at the same time, being aware that there is a new political reality and that we move logically corresponds to create conditions for national reconciliation that is what we all want in Honduras," he said.

At the meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels, Moratinos presented to his colleagues on the Spanish position Honduran elections, which Madrid unveiled during the celebration of the XIX Ibero American Summit in Estoril (Portugal). The Spanish government does not recognize the elections, but insists it can not ignore the results.

Meanwhile, the EU has only said so far, through a statement released by the Swedish presidency, he regretted the "unusual circumstances" in which elections were held and that he considers the elections an "important step" toward solving political crisis in Honduras. The text of last December 1 also reiterates the "condemnation" of the coup in June last year that ousted President Manuel Zelaya, and insists on all parties to assume their responsibility and engage in dialogue for national reconciliation and the restoration constitutional order.

This document, agreed between the twenty-seven Member States, came after they express their division on the terms that relate to elections, as some countries wanted a harsher language, diplomats said. Yes have agreed to ask the Veintisiete the resumption of negotiations on an association agreement with Central America, which remained frozen after the coup that overthrew Zelaya.

The foreign ministers today so requested in writing in a document of conclusions of the meeting in Brussels.
