altFacto The Finance Minister Gabriela Nunez announced yesterday that the de facto government fell in his attempt to impose a new tax package, arguing that in a few months a new administration that will take is to decide what adjustments should be made.

THE PROPOSAL

OTHER ADJUSTMENTS 
Increase of 1. 5 to 2. 5 percent on Tradition Tax Assets for the purchase of properties that have a value greater than 300, 000 Lempiras. Assets costing less than 300, 000 will be released. 

Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) may enjoy the exemption from sales tax to an amount of 5 $ 000 (about 95, 000 Lempiras). 

Revalue the assets of the companies that will pay for this concept five per cent. 

Tax Cigarette production consisting of 300 Lempiras per thousand occurred. The cigarette exports are not taxed. This tax would generate 100 million Lempiras per year.

Increase the tax on alcoholic beverages based on alcohol content, indexed to annual inflation. 

Remove free shops operating in the border, hotels and shopping malls, because they abuse the exemption from sales tax. Free shops are allowed only at airports and seaports. 

Reforming the Mining Act so that all metallurgical operations are subject to taxation in the country. 

BENEFITS 
Cancel outstanding debts to the State not exceeding 1, 000 Lempiras. Those who can be more payment plans. 

Forgive the monthly fines of $ 500 lempiras those who do not register their vehicles in the respective month.
