The UN claims the restitution of Zelaya in office

NEW YORK, 29 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) --
The Plenary of the UN General Assembly called for Wednesday in a special session to discuss the situation in Central America, the return of deposed President Manuel Zelaya in Honduras in office, something that the  'de facto'President , Roberto Micheletti, refuses to do .
The Spanish ambassador to the UN, Juan Antonio Yanez-Barnuevo, along with the ambassadors of Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico and El Salvador were the most strongly defended the necessity of restoring to Zelaya, deposed in a coup last 28 June, Telesur channel reported.
Diplomats stressed their support for regional initiatives that advocate the return of Zelaya and also criticized the state of siege in which the  Tegucigalapa Brazilian Embassy is, which remains a refuge for the deposed president after he returned by surprise to Honduras clandestinely on 21 September.
The UN General Assembly approved last July a resolution condemning the coup and demanded the refund then "immediate and unconditional release" of the deposed president.
Zelaya and Micheletti, indirect negotiations which began on 7 October with the mediation of a high-level delegation of the Organization of American States (OAS), still hold differing positions on the return of Zelaya to power, which rejects claims Micheletti the international community.
Both parties, through his envoys are scheduled to resume negotiations Thursday, after the arrival Wednesday of a U.S. delegation led by Shannon to try to force a solution to end the crisis in Honduras for four months .
