Miguel Facussé now claiming lands where there is a community radio station in the south "La Voz de Zacate Grande", and  the Public Ministry and asked to demolish the building of the station

Since the community of Zacate Grande founded its own radio a few weeks ago, citizens of this region, 150 kilometers south of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, are victims of the summons and criminalization against the community radio station by agents of investigation and security guards who act on behalf of the Arab who has taken control of country's land , Miguel Facusse, who until now has the support of the State of Honduras.

Isla Zacate Grande, Valle . The Public Prosecutor, Marco Tulio Campos, has filed a complaint with the juzgado trial section of the municipality of Amapala against the leadership of Community Radio La Voz de Zacate Grande which was inaugurated on  April 14 2010 and is part of the national board of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC).

AMARC's mission is to promote the democratization of communications to promote freedom of expression and contribute to equitable and sustainable development of peoples under the motto: "democratize the word to democratize society."

 Facusse HAS THE LAW

The prosecution accuses the leaders of community radio:  Pedro Canales Torres, José Ernesto Laso, Wilmer Rivera Cabrera, Ethel Verónica Corea, Rafael Osorio, José Danilo Osorio on charges of usurpation of lands of the  landowner, well-known in Honduras, Miguel Facussé, and for the crime of theft of government to install the radio without permits by the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL).

 The leadership of the community of Zacate Grande are accused of stealing land because according to the Public Prosecutor, Marco Tulio Campos, the construction of the radio's house became the property of the landowner Miguel Facusse.

RADIO IS IN RECOVERED LAND

"The public prosecutor forgets that the land where we live and where the radio is installed belongs to  the community of Zacate Grande, since it was reclaimed by the community from all-powerful landowner Miguel Facussé , because of that land, Facussé plundered many people, "said Benito Perez, secretary of the board of the community Zacate Grande.

Perez said the leadership who manages and installed the community radio in the community must  show up at a  public hearing before the judge on Wednesday May 5, where the judge will  rule against them.

FACUSSÉ'S GUARDS AND POLICE REPRESS

. Since the community of Zacate Grande counts with a Community radio,  citizens of the community are victims of harassment  and systematic criminalization that takes place  against the community radio by criminal investigation officers and security guards who act on behalf  of the landowner Miguel Facusse endorsed by the authorities of Honduras.

 FOR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

 Male and female journalists, communicators, community radio , and training and production centers associated with AMARC contribute to the free expression of the different social , political and cultural movements as well as the promotion of all initiatives that seek peace, friendship among peoples, democracy and development. These are organizations and individuals working for the democratization of the media, society, and culture.

 They reflect and help construct identities, speak local languages, and produce new public agenda for discussion of citizenship.  This construction of citizenship is based on the ability of women and men, adults, youth, children of establishing human relationships based on fairness and equality.

 In Latin America and the Caribbean, the association was founded in 1990. Today, AMARC ALC employs approximately 400 associates, 18 National Representations that drive the activities of the association in their respective countries, a Regional Council with representation from the subregions (Andean Countries, Central America, Cono Sur, Mexico, Brazil and Caribbean).
