The interim president Roberto Micheletti acknowledged that the mediation committee of the government has made it hard to convince the international community as recorded in Honduras on June 28 was a constitutional succession and not a coup.

The committee two weeks ago returned from Washington, USA, where he made a series of contacts with authorities in that country, but found a little difficult understanding, reiterated the government.
On the other hand, he said he has not met with the U.S. ambassador, Hugo Llorens, because he doesn't have meet the diplomat, he has no relation to that country.

  Discards invasion
Also ruled out the possibility that the country promotes invasion promoted by the United States after claiming that this nation is respectful of the Constitution of Honduras.

"It may be pressuring, but I do not think it reaches that point, besides all this is a baseless rumor," said Micheletti at an impromptu press conference at Government House yesterday.

In that sense, he denied that in the Palmerola airbase some military movements are performed with the aim of preparing an invasion to oust him.

"They are raising rumours some of the media who are against this government to intimidate the population and keep it worried," she said.

They ensure that tomorrow September 11 (today) there will be disasters in the country, but it's not true, it's best to stay calm and not allow that to happen.

"Those are the ones who want you to send more dollars, because they are running out of the ones sent by the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez," he said.

  THE PHRASE
. "In all countries, where there have been coups or constitutional succesions, they  have been worldwide, and that also has to happen here," Roberto Micheletti, Wednesday 9 September.
