The owner of Radio Uno in El Paraiso, called in to Radio Globo this morning to report that last night his station was taken over by the military, that its employees were beaten, arms broken. This morning the military called him and told him he could have the station back and it could broadcast, but only if it did not mention Manuel Zelaya or anything about the events in Tegucigalpa.

No Foreign Intervention
La Tribuna has a statement from the de facto government's Foreign Minister, Carlos Lopez Contreras, who says neither the OAS nor the international community will be allowed to intervene in the political crisis in Honduras."Its not a matter that threatens the international peace or security; in consequence, there's no reason for the OAS to intervene. Its an internal problem, so the international community does not need to intervene."
No More Electricity?
Members of the union of electrical workers of the National Electric Company (ENEE) called in to Radio Globo to announce that the Micheletti government intends to cut electricity in the entire country today.
Yesterday afternoon, the military took over the electrical company and began cutting power in the neighborhoods where the opposition media have their offices and transmitters. They've taken Channel 36 off the air that way, and Radio Globo's broadcast signal goes in and out depending on the power.

MILITARY REPRESSION IN HONDURAS
TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - Honduran police dispersed hundreds of supporters on Tuesday outside the Brazilian embassy where ousted President Manuel Zelaya took refuge after sneaking back into the country in a bid to return to power.A Reuters photographer at the embassy said police fired tear gas at the protesters and at least two tear gas canisters landed inside the embassy compound.
Zelaya remained inside the embassy and accused police of preparing an attack.
"The embassy is surrounded by police and the military ... I foresee bigger acts of aggression and violence, that they could be capable of even invading the Brazilian embassy," Zelaya said in an interview with Venezuelan broadcaster Telesur.
A police spokesman said all the protesters had been dispersed and that an all day curfew would remain in effect.

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - Honduran troops and police clashed on Tuesday with hundreds of supporters of ousted President Manuel Zelaya outside Brazil's embassy where he took refuge after slipping back into the country in a bid to return to power.
Police fired tear gas at the demonstrators, who threw rocks back at security forces. A Reuters photographer said at least two gas canisters landed inside the embassy compound.
Soldiers patrolled streets around the embassy and enforced an all-day curfew called by Honduras' de facto government to dampen the protests in support of the leftist Zelaya, who was toppled in a June 28 coup.
Zelaya ended almost three months of exile by sneaking back into Honduras on Monday. He sought refuge at the Brazilian embassy to avoid being arrested, and accused security forces on Tuesday of preparing an attack.
"The embassy is surrounded by police and the military ... I foresee bigger acts of aggression and violence, that they could be capable of even invading the Brazilian embassy," Zelaya said in an interview with Venezuelan broadcaster Telesur.
The military and police kept a strong presence outside the embassy and a police spokesman said all the protesters had been dispersed. Tegucigalpa's main hospital treated 20 people injured in the scuffle, some with broken legs and arms and head wounds but none in serious condition.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said his government would guarantee Zelaya's right to seek refuge in the embassy, ignoring off the de facto government's demands that Brazil either give Zelaya asylum and take him out of the country or hand him over for arrest.
Honduras' de facto leader Roberto Micheletti took power after Zelaya was toppled and forced into exile on June 28. Despite economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government and the European Union, Micheletti has repeatedly refused to back down and insisted Zelaya would be arrested if he returned to Honduras.
Micheletti's government appeared to be winning the battle of wills and was betting that the international pressure would ease after a new president is elected in November and takes power in January.
But Zelaya's surprise return has put new pressure on his rivals with the threat of street protests.
"I'm calling on all the population to come to Tegucigalpa because we are in the final offensive for the restitution of the presidency," Zelaya told a local radio station late on Monday.
CALLS FOR NEGOTIATIONS
The United States, the European Union and the Organization of American States have called for negotiations and a return to democratic rule in the Central American country.
With Zelaya mobilizing his supporters and the de facto government imposing a curfew, the EU also told all sides on Tuesday to "refrain from any action that might increase tension and violence".
"I insist that the courts are waiting so he can present himself there and pay for the crimes he committed," Micheletti said on Monday night.
Soldiers toppled Zelaya at gunpoint and sent him into exile in his pajamas after the Supreme Court ordered his arrest, saying he had broken the law by pushing for constitutional reforms that critics say were an attempt to change presidential term limits and extend his rule.
He denied the allegations and says he had no intention of staying in power beyond the end of his term. Zelaya had upset Honduras' business groups, opposition leaders and a large chunk of his own party by developing a close alliance with Venezuela's socialist president, Hugo Chavez.

Red Hondureña de Noticias - RHN. Tegucigalpa, martes, 22 de septiembre de 2009.- En campo de pelota Chochi Sosa permanece detenida la abuela de la Resistencia, Dionisia Díaz, una anciana que no se ha perdido ni un día de protesta de la resistencia contra el golpe de estado.
Doña Dionisia Díaz suele distinguirse entre los manifestantes por usar su ropa del mismo color, portar un altoparlante para lanzar sus consignas y permanecer en la “primera línea de combate”.
Ayer en horas de la tarde la abuela logró ingresar a la Embajada de Brasil y saludar al Presidente Constitucional de Honduras, José Manuel Zelaya Rosales, pero en horas de la noche abandonó el lugar para sumarse a la calle donde permanecían las personas que esperan las instrucciones la conducción del Frente de Resistencia. Brazil Lula calls on Honduras rulers to negotiate

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva Tuesday urged Honduras' de facto government to negotiate a way out of a political crisis that escalated after ousted President Manuel Zelaya slipped back into the country.
Speaking to journalists in New York, Lula said Brazil was doing what "any democratic country would do" by granting Zelaya refuge in its embassy in Tegucigalpa.
"Brazil is guaranteeing that he stays there -- that is an international right and we do not expect the coup leaders to touch the Brazilian embassy. We expect them to negotiate," said Lula, who is in New York to attend the United Nation's general assembly.
Outside the Brazilian embassy in the capital Tuesday, Honduran police fired tear gas at demonstrators who threw back rocks, and a Reuters photographer said at least two gas canisters landed inside the embassy compound.
Lula said he spoke this morning with Zelaya, and asked him to discourage violence. The president repeated that the international community can not accept a government that has not been elect democratically.
"If you don't like your government you change it in the next elections. What we can not tolerate is that coup leaders become presidents without winning elections," he said.

Tegucigalpa, martes, 22 de septiembre de 2009.- El régimen de facto Micheletti Bain – Vásquez Velásquez mantiene el cerco militar-policial alrededor de la Embajada de Brasil en Tegucigalpa, Honduras, y con ello impiden el paso de agua, alimentos y medicinas para las casi 300 personas que se alojan en su interior de la sede diplomática.
En el interior de la embajada brasileña se mantienen unas 300 personas, entre los que se encuentran varios menores de edad, desde que el Presidente de Honduras, José Manuel Zelaya Rosales, fue recibido en ella como huésped de honor.
Los huéspedes mas destacados en la sede diplomática son sin duda los miembros de la familia presidencial pero no por ello son menos importantes los jóvenes de la Resistencia que brindan seguridad a las marchas de protesta y que desde muy temprano de ayer se dedicaron a brindar seguridad al edificio diplomático y a todos sus huéspedes.
El método de cerrar el paso al ingreso de agua, alimentos y medicinas fue ensayado con relativo éxito por los militares golpistas al mando del general golpista Romeo Vásquez Velásquez en el oriental departamento de El Paraíso cuando el Presidente Zelaya amenazaba con ingresar desde Nicaragua al territorio nacional.
En esa fecha el régimen de facto que presiden Roberto Micheletti Bain decretó un toque de queda que se prolongaba ininterrumpidamente por varios días sin que las personas tuvieran posibilidad de acudir a los mercados u hospitales.
La Cruz Roja Hondureña fue denunciada entonces de colaborar con el régimen golpista y los militares al prestar sus unidades para trasladar suministros militares (bombas lacrimógenas) atrás de las columnas de manifestantes de la Resistencia cuando a los policías y miembros de las Fuerzas Armadas se les habían agotado. Fue después de esta denuncia que la organización “humanitaria” se dispuso a trasladar en sus unidades ayuda para las victimas de la represión del régimen de facto.
También las fueras militares al mando del general Romeo Vásquez Velazquez se tomaron desde ayer las instalaciones de la Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE) y cortaron los suministros de energía para la zona donde se ubica la Embajada de Brasil e impidiendo de esta forma que los vecinos puedan prepara sus propios alimentos y usar todos los aparatos que depende de la electricidad.
Los policías y militares fuertemente armados y con sus rostros encapuchados cierran el paso a todo y enrarecen al aire con su presencia. (EMC)
