The station's owner, Arturo Rendon Pineda, presented on Wednesday 19 May, before the prosecution of common crimes the complaint of receiving death threats since April  against his son Rafael Antonio Rendón and against news director, Manuel Gavarrete.

The most recent intimidation received took place on May 17 while broadcasting the news. They reported that during the episode, they were offering  newswire reading and comments alluding  the atrocities being committed in an alarming way by the agencies and institutions involved in the coup of June 28, 2009.

They were also making comments regarding the murders of more than six journalists and renowned activists of the  National  Front of Popular Resistance. Rendón also reported that between April 12 and 16 in the early morning hours, strangers fired bursts with  heavy weapons  in the vicinity of the radio and in front of his house.

The owner of the station believes that the intent is to intimidate, "due to the the absence and indifference of the authorities, which never presented themselves to the scene," he said, so he was forced to go to the Prosecutor's Office.

Gavarrete reported that the latest threat was made to his wife saying, "that would end with her and my children's life if I (Manuel Gavarrete)  do not shut up."

Rendon asked the prosecution to carry out an investigation to determine who are the perpetrators of death threats, while also asking for precautionary measures  for all people who are at risk.
