IACHR: "There are no conditions for Zelaya's return", since " the ones who carried out judicial proceedings against Zelaya(the current Supreme Court and Attorney General), are precisely those who were part of the coup against his government"

Tegucigalpa May 19, 2010.The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights IACHR, said today that "there are no conditions for President Manuel Zelaya's return to the country from his forced exile in the Dominican Republic after the coup".

The Commission's President, Felipe Gonzales, said at a news conference that "under the current context the legal conditions don't exist", there are no conditions because those who took" legal proceedings against him ( President Zelaya)", the current  Judicial Power and Prosecutor General of the Republic, are precisely those who "were part of the coup against his government."
The international organization thus contradicts the statements of the current executive President, Porfirio Lobo, who has insisted that Zelaya can return home anytime.

According to Gonzalez, due to  the current conditions and with the aim to repair the coup d'état, it is important that Zelaya, can return to the country without being persecuted.

According to the IACHR, Zelaya would not have a fair trial, given the involvement of different channels of justice in his overthrow on June 28 2009.
