Mercenaries have been hired to repress the people

 Indigenous leader warns of enforcement action in Honduran elections

 Tegucigalpa, 19 Nov ABN .- The Honduran coup regime is preparing a fierce crackdown on anti-coup resistance of the elections, denounced Thursday Bertha Caceres, head of the Civic Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations.

. According to Caceres, the army began sending troops to all departments and in the Southwest, a region of indigenous Lenca, 800 mercenaries were deployed with orders to suppress any movement, reported Prensa Latina.

 "We want to alert the world  of  a wave of violence against people," said the female leader and said that the strategy of the armed forces is to commit murder before and during the electoral farce of November 29.

 Caceres, denounced the coup regime has listings of the resistance leaders for each department, which is very dangerous, he warned.

. The Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces, General Romeo Vasquez, one of the protagonists of the coup, admitted that the staff conducted training prevent any disturbances during the elections.
"The armed forces are spread throughout the country, for that there are 11 military regions and each commander is responsible for the security of their region and already have orders and modes of operation," he said.

. According to Vasquez in operations involving 17 thousand troops, including reservists, active members, plus 14 thousand members of the police.

 "There are  nationwide sweeps, recognition and intelligence work also for problems in some places and try to find solutions," added the officer.
 The constitutional president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, announced his decision to contest the election process because it is illegal, violates the rights of the people and aims to cover up for the perpetrators and masterminds of the coup on June 28.
