CODEH ALERTS ABOUT MILITARY PLANS TO SLAUGHTER IN HONDURAS

Tegucigalpa, Nov. 11.2009, Tribuna Popular TP .-

Andres Pavon, head of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Honduras, CODEH, reported to national and international media that there is a macabre plan to disguise military soldiers and pass them off as members of an armed commando course of the Resistance.

The complaint states that on 29 November, fraudulent election day, the Army shall conduct a military operation of mass murder against members of the Civic Democratic Union, in order to provoke violent rejection and loss in Honduras of those who support the National Front of Resistance Against the Coup internationally.

According to Pavon, military officers loyal to the Honduran people have sent him information in confidence for the Machiavellian plan, noting that it is managed by dark forces within the coup factions that refuse to accept any instance in which they have to give explanations and confront the barbaric consequences of the breakdown of constitutional order, the rule of law and the enforcement of legal protections for human rights in the nation.

Through this slaughter is also intended to create a climate of revenge by the Civic Democratic Union and businessmen who support the coup against members of the Resistance, so that they hired their own gunmen and proceed to murder the people of Honduras .

The ultimate goal of this operation would be dreadful, as Pavon, because of the little credibility that these elections will, spoiling them and perpetuate the military dictatorship in power since the military leadership, presumably, has noticed that the coup politicians are left alone, and worry that even the new government emerging from the elections will not be able to protect them, and be forced to use them before international bodies next year as a scapegoat to appease the clamor for justice that will surely be The new slogan popular at the beginning of the new government.

It is no secret that the last month to members of the military leadership has seen them sleepless and nervous, presumably why they do not see a clear way to its beleaguered state, and it is likely that in these moments are great options for them ensure the best chance to avoid facing the consequences of actions that have been seen as terrorists by large segments of the nation of Honduras.

Mr. Andres Pavon called on all governments of the world and all international and national bodies to be alert and proceed to categorically reject all attempts to provoke terrorism that can serve to divert the current conflict to a potential war civil in Honduras.

It should be noted that the National Front of Resistance Against coup denounced the massive influx of members of the Colombian paramilitaries, reportedly taken under the protection of the Honduran oligarchy.
