Honduras Alert: World Cup will hide repression and murders
Artists in Resistance denounce and alerts:
Taking advantage of the great smoke curtain that the South Africa World Cup 2010 starts to impose on the media, the paramilitary assassins of the coup regime, masked behind the face of Porfirio Lobo Sosa, have initiated a route of assassinations and kidnappings of members of the FNRP.
The frustrated kidnapping attempt of teacher Carolina Pineda, Secretary of Finance of the COPEMH (Teachers' Union of Middle School Education in Honduras) yesterday, Thursday, June 10th, in the Comayagua sector, central region of the country, they attempt directly against the national body of teachers, which has already lost several valuable members.
Today, June 11th(inaguration of the World Cup), relatives of the STIBYS leader (Workers Union of the Beverage Industry and Similars), Porfirio Ponce, were shot by hitmen, killing his brother-in-law and another relative, injuring his father and other relatives who were inside the vehicle.
We alert the international community of what has already started to happen in this month, first anniversary of the Coup d'état. The assassin businessmen, politicians, and military who have kidnapped this country, know perfectly the anesthesia which soccer helps to inoculate in national as well as international media and most of all, in the everyday life of the alienated citizen.
This is the first anniversary of the huge FNRP and it is clear that the putschists don't want to celebrate it!

Honduras: Alerta: el Mundial ocultará represión y asesinatos
Artistas en Resistencia denuncia y alerta:
Aprovechando la gran cortina de humo que el Mundial de Fútbol de Sudáfrica 2010 comienza a implantar sobre el ascendente mediático, los asesinos paramilitares del golpismo, enmascarados tras el rostro de Porfirio Lobo Sosa, han iniciado una ruta de asesinatos y secuestros en contra de miembras y miembros del FNRP.
El frustrado secuestro de la profesora Carolina Pineda, Secretaria de Finanzas del COPEMH (Colegio de Profesionales de la Educación Media de Honduras), ayer jueves 10 de junio, en el sector de Comayagua, centro del país, atentan directamente contra el magisterio nacional, el cual ya ha perdido a valiosos y valiosas militantes.
Hoy viernes 11 de junio (inauguración del Mundial de Fútbol) han sido acribillados por sicarios, familiares del dirigente del Stibys (Sindicato de trabajadores de la industria de la bebida y similares) Porfirio Ponce, muriendo en el acto su cuñado y otro familiar, resultando heridos su señor padre y otros familiares que se conducían en el mismo vehículo.
Alertamos a la comunidad internacional de lo que ya ha comenzado a suceder en este mes del primer aniversario del Golpe de Estado. Los asesinos empresarios, políticos y militares que secuestran este país, conocen a perfección la anestesia que el fútbol ayuda a inocular en los medios nacionales como internacionales y sobretodo, en la vida cotidiana del ciudadano alienado.
Este es el mes del primer aniversario del enorme FNRP, y está claro que el golpismo no lo quiere celebrar.
