She requests the US ambassador, Hugo Lorens, and Porfirio Lobo "not to allow Carol Cabrera to leave the country"
She denounces the media, police and the ambassador Llorens, of emphasizing Cabrera's attack over her son's murder.
Mother of murdered student journalist accused the journalist, Carol Cabrera of planning his murder.
Tegucigalpa. In a dramatic trance and crying unleashed, Bertha Ochoa, the mother of murdered student journalist, Joseph Hernandez Ochoa, accused in an appearance on Radio Globo, the communicator, Carol Cabrera, for the death of her son who was shot and murdered by strangers.
Ms. Ochoa, told about her suspicion that Cabrera had planned Joseph's murder based on a story of envy, jealousy and Cabrera being upset over being denied an advertising contract with the government office of Porfirio Lobo, the de facto regime's successor, which would sponsor a TV program for communicator Cabrera.
Bertha Ochoa with her husband, Pedro Pablo Hernandez, questioned a number of circumstances on how the crime happened that makes them think, they said, that the murder of Joseph had been "planned by Cabrera", allegedly "because of envy "since her son was"very dear and his popularity constantly rose. "
Joseph's mother said that the content of telephone transmission made by Carol, to her radio show, seemed rather that she " gave details to the murderers about where they were, where they were heading to and on when they should act [kill]. "
She also said that while Carol was on the phone, "She insulted Pepe Lobo and protested about him giving them nothing, as if she were informing [Joseph] they would not sign the contract", which apparently they were waiting from the office of the de facto successor regime.
The father and the mother of Hernandez Ochoa, said they thought it strange that the murder of their son Joseph had occurred in the same place, the hill of El Chile, where Cabrera's daughter in December 2009 was murdered , that " if the attack was against Carol, why did the murderers shoot on the driver's side and returned to finish off their son and did not do anything to Carol. "
Mrs. Berta Ochoa narrated that Carol assures that the murderers "stuck their heads inside the car through the windows" supposedly to ensure the crime, while Carol stayed at the scene, witnessed the murder and continued recording on the phone for Radio Cadena Voces, for which she works.
The couple Hernandez Ochoa, believe that murderers are "skilled people that would have not failed in their duty," if they did. And, as a suspect she also stressed that Cabrera released her bodyguard and had dropped him out the vehicle before Joseph's murder took place, leaving the responsibility of caring for the communicator.
Bertha Ochoa said she is not a member of the Resistance, but that she "has nothing against it [the resistance]," and that she believes they are not like "what they say they are". She asks them crying for "full support" regarding the murder of her son.
The Hernandez Ochoa were accompanied in their appearance by one of the lawyers of the legal bar of the National Front of Popular Resistance (FNRP). She claimed that Carol received special attention from the police, despite that "my son is dead" and that the U.S. ambassador, Hugo Lorens, tried to get Cabrera out the country to protect her from a life-threatening course.
Crying, she begged Llorens not to bring the communicator out of the country until the murder of her son is fully investigated, because "they don't know who they are taking," she said referring to Carol Cabrera.
The mother of the murdered communicator denounced to the spokesman of the Ministry of Security, Leonel Sauceda, who was on the phone, that the police had not contacted her being the mother of the one who was murdered and that Carol, on the other hand, had such protection that "should be for all Hondurans. "
Sauceda said that Cabrera has security measures granted by the Interamerican Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), and that's why the police are obliged to care for her, to what the Radio Globo journalists replied to pointing out that they also have precautionary measures by the IACHR, but so far have not been granted police protection.
Sauceda said he was newly assigned in Tegucigalpa and did not know about that.
Andres Pavon, president of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Honduras (CODEH), also on the phone, told the parents of Joseph he will accompany them throughout the process of police investigation until we know the truth and punish those responsible for the crime.
According to the marriage Hernandez Ochoa, Carol offered Joseph, for some time, to get him a contract related to communications from the central government office, and for that reason they were frequent friendly contacts, although recently they had taken some distance from each other.
But "she kept deceiving him promising him that they were going to sign [the contract]," said the mother of communicator Joseph Hernandez Ochoa.
However, in the opinion of Mrs. Ochoa, she did not like that relationship and had repeatedly asked her son to "stay away from her," but he replied that he would, once he had signed the contract.
