Resistance Honduras: released couple abducted and tortured with siblings



Edgar Martinez, his wife Carol Martinez (both leaders of the Resistance in  San Pedro Sula (northern Honduras), his brother Johan Martinez's sister, Carol, Melissa Rivera were released from their abduction occurred last Wednesday, Feb. 10.
The couple was kidnapped by 7 hooded men and taken to the mountain area of El Venado, appearing today with serious signs of  torture . At the same time, the kidnappers raped Melissa Rivera, sister of Carol Martinez and another girl who accompanied them. Both claim that the hijackers said they were "Pepe orders," which points to a paramilitary action of discontent within the coup regime.
The repression of members  of the resistance is growing every day framed in the "early mornings" Coca Alvarez has been deployed in the poorest barrios and colonias of Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, areas that are strongholds of the Resistance in organizational process.
