Tegucigalpa. August 16 2010. “ We cannot say human rights violations are decreasing. Let it be clear that in six months of the Porfirio Lobo regime, human rights violations occurred are 45 % more than during the seven months of the military coup", stated the national coordinator of the Committee of Relatives of the Detained Disappeared in Honduras, Bertha Oliva.
“What is mostly dangerous about it is the selectivity of the victims" she added,
,According to what Oliva stated, the crimes against human rights are not only characterized for being "systematic and selective", but they are "silent".
Cofadeh's coordinator also revealed that "the situation is harder than at the beginning of the coup, since they are desperate [the putschists and their successors] and they are paying people to manipulate the human rights violations".
She added that " it is necessary take care of one's self in these moments, when there are very important characters, defenders of the status quo, who are in charge of it".
Bertha Oliva considers infiltration not only to be the presence of two identified subjects while a demonstration on the street takes place.
"Beyond that, there is the spionage work that is implemented from the state structures. When we speak of espionage we also refer to the bad practice of control through the media we own, cell phones and telephones, This infiltration is extremely dangerous" she said.
According to Oliva, another form of espionage is the pursuit they make through "agents disguised as human rights experts, with the purpose of creating confidence".
Human rights defense " is not making lobby and to serve as lobbyists to the violators of human rights", she criticized.
