Murdered Miguel Lopez, FNRP member of Catacamas, Olancho

Again in Catacamas FNRP mourns the death of comrade MIGUEL LOPEZ, president of the association of taxi drivers of Catacamas, who was also an active member of the Resistance Front of this city.
Miguel joined with his fellow taxi drivers at the time of the coup against President Zelaya at the entrance to Catacamas paralyzing access to the city in protest against what had happened, just as he had organized the  taxi workers union and in every event from the front, he  participated in the marches to the sound of the honk of the vehicles.
A few hours ago, he was killed in front of the police headquarters in this city by strangers, who in the previous days  had threatened him for opposing the proliferation of ghost taxis  that have appeared after  June 28, 2009.
Today his family suffers the loss of a father, husband and friend, whose humility and service had a place in this society that was respected by his peers.
Today, the  resistance joins the  grief at the loss of our comrade  and calls for the bodies of justice to investigate and do something to control the crime that we live daily.
MIGUEL, you WILL ALWAYS be with us.
