"The Army appointed Micheletti": Ex Foreign Minister of the de facto government ratifies that " it was a military coup"

Ortez Colindres ratified that it was a military coup.

Enrique Ortéz Colindres, ex Foreign Minister of the de facto government of Roberto Micheletti, who commented that U.S. president Barack Obama, who refused to back the coup or  to recognize the de facto government as legitimate, was "un negrito que no sabe nada de nada" (English: a little black man who knows nothing about nothing), has recently ratified in an interview in anti-coup Channel 36, Cholusat Sur, that what happened on June 28th was a military coup against President Manuel Zelaya.

Tegucigalpa July 21, 2010.
The ephemeral de facto Foreign Minister of the dictatorship of Roberto Micheletti, Enrique Ortéz Colindres, ratified that what happened on June 28, 2009 was a military coup,"The military were the ones who decided to oust Mel", in reference to the coup d'état against constitutional President Manuel Zelaya Rosales.

A bit over a year after the coup, Ortez Colindres seems to have forgotten that he had assured "that Zelaya's removal was in full accordance with the current Constution of Honduras".

Colindres appeared again before the media to also accuse the government of Porfirio Lobo Sosa that "the only thing that's left for him to do is to get down on all fours for the Organization of the American States", in relation to the possible return of Honduras to the organization.

Days before, the head of the de facto successor Porfirio Lobo Sosa, also acknowledged that what had happened on June 28th was a coup d'état, " Of course, put it how you will but it was a coup", he expressed at a point in statements to an international news network.

Micheletti's ex Foreign Minister  confessed his intellectual and material participation in the coup d'état in an interview made by journalist Esdras Amado López of Channel 36.

In the interview he revealed that he has been advising  the military for fifty years and that before the coup he told them (the military), " they should prepare to oust Zelaya, because Zelaya is an Olanchano (from the department of Olancho) that was going to send them to h..".

Colindres also appeared in several media in which he repeated the same phrase regarding the position of Lobo Sosa's government in relation to the possible return of Honduras to the OAS and to recommend the current government, that he must negotiate the return to the organism directly with US and with the government of Hugo Chávez.

When asked about why not proposing any direct negotiations when he was part of the dictatorship he said that he didn't recommend it because the main enemy of the army of Honduras is Chávez and he also justified it saying that the military were Micheletti's bosses and added that, "the army appointed Micheletti".

“Instead of speaking with the clowns, one should speak with the circus owner", said Colindres regarding the recommendation he makes to Lobo.

Lobo's government is considered by the Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular FNRP, as the continuation of the military coup.
